This is a work out of your home position in and around Bethesda, Maryland.

Bachelors degree in with a minimum of 3.7 GPA desired. Experience related to the federal government and FPDS and FBO a major plus

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Visit the NIH Bethesda campus weekly to meet and engage current accounts, learn about upcoming events and opportunities, major acquisitions, relocations, projects, challenges, needs, seek new prospects via networking, and implement marketing tactics to capture broader targets within NIH.
In the rare event no meetings are scheduled, the representative shall visit the campus for intelligence gathering purposes: to learn the administrative support side of NIH, vendor relations liaisons, and conduct impromptu visits with existing customers. Representative shall leverage our NIH book of business to develop relationships and obtain referrals.
Representative will research how and where to implement advertisements around campus and if there are any high-value opportunities to sponsor select events. This can be achieved by observing how and where other successful firms/OEMs advertise.
Host lunch-and-learn sessions for customers and new prospects within a particular research focus/group.
Attend other vendors presentations when they are related to equipment types we cover.
Learn how to participate in NIH Lab Manager Meetings which are held regularly.
Forecast NIH opportunities and meet with Contracting for market research/ learn which program liaisons are driving the larger acquisitions.
Learn to identify and review private bid boards which are not publicized on the internet.
75% of the time will be away from home office traveling to the NIH campuses.
