Wood, Patel & Associates, Inc., (WOODPATEL), the #1 ranked civil engineering firm in Arizona for 19 consecutive years, is seeking a Marketing Manager with 7+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry. Candidates will work with our Partners, Project Managers, and Business developers to identify, attract, and retain our clients through the submission of visually persuasive proposals, print and social media postings, and other marketing focused activities. This person will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects/people, meet tight deadlines, and continue to grow the marketing staff. As Manager you will be engaged in marketing and communication efforts including marketing department management; proposal management, writing, and coordination; social media and website maintenance; and client contact administration. The ideal Candidate will enjoy working within a collaborative team environment and be skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines while meeting quality standards and on-time delivery.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage qualification, proposal, and presentation activities – proactively participating and managing the production and submission of high-quality responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP). This includes design; team coordination; production; writing compelling and thorough narratives that engage the reader; and delivery of quality, on-time submittals.
  • Department Management – Manage, mentor, and develop marketing team staff; manage all department administration and functions including social media, promotional/collateral material, company website (WordPress); special events, direct-mail programs; and market research activities.
  • Assist with client-contact program.
  • Coordinate firm-wide branding adherence.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all documentation and marketing material.
  • Manage professional photography and videography.
  • Performs duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in marketing or communications preferred. Any combination of education, training, and work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Seven or more years of experience writing and producing proposals and supporting/managing marketing efforts in the A/E/C industry.
  • Skilled in graphics and text management for proposals, social media, e-commerce, cards, and webpages including themed graphic elements for web and print projects.
  • Effective and proven communication skills using creative and compelling writing and graphics to engage audience.
  • Knowledge of current document and digital printing methods and vendors.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to writing specifications.
  • Required application with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Constant Contact.
  • Video production/software knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to apply knowledge.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
