NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Manager, Team Marketing Services based in our Charlotte office.

The Senior Manager, Team Marketing Services is responsible for managing day to day interactions and requests from sales and marketing personnel with all national series race teams.

This position will also focus on increasing collaboration between internal departments and the race teams on key initiatives such as tune-in support, attendance marketing programs and marketing calendar initiatives.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a primary liaison between all national series race teams and a variety of internal departments
  • Manage and coordinate marketing, promotional, and communications activities and programs in conjunction with Brand Marketing, race teams, race tracks and their sponsors
  • Manage development and approval of company, team and other industry marketing materials
  • Provide regular and frequent updates and information to team marketing personnel and partners via a variety of mediums
  • Monitor team and driver social media handles, websites and digital activities; ensure compliance with league rules; make recommendations for improvements and share best practices
  • Support implementation of team-related brand and product marketing, promotional, social media and PR programs and recommend or share best practices
  • Review Team marketing and sales materials and make recommendations for improvement
  • Build, maintain and regularly update team sponsor lists and an inventory of open categories, races, entitlements and other inventory
  • Gather research materials and distribute to race teams in support of their marketing and sales efforts
  • Develop, maintain and increase the Industry Services marketing activation case study library
  • Implement, track and measure effectiveness of credential programs, research usage, team meetings and events (CEO Hard Card Program and team events program)
  • Attend and schedule meetings with teams in all three (3) national series; prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, develop to do lists, and lead follow-up on all to-do items
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other members of the Team Marketing department
  • Develop, update and distribute budget tracking tools
  • Travel: 30%, including weekends

Qualifications include the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of six (6) years of marketing, sales promotion, track, event management, or agency experience and/or training in sponsorship sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An MBA or other graduate degree would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of motorsports is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with social and digital media and emerging trend
  • Proficient skills on Company provided hardware and software. Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
