Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Digital Brand Marketing will strategize and lead the digital brand experience from start-to-finish. 
This role will be responsible for editorial calendar planning and channel planning while collaborating across New Era's categories to create content & experiences that are inspirational, enriching, insightful and represent the brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Exemplify strong leadership by setting a clear vision, bringing innovative thinking to the team and managing on the ground execution
* Lead the digital brand experience for all New Era categories: drive digital participation, grow followers, collaborate with e-commerce and deliver solid core content of the brand
* Develop and execute local digital vision on seasonal campaigns along with on-going activities around commerce in conjunction with the categories seasonal and annual objectives
* Participate in the execution of the vision for New Era site development and how it connects with overall brand strategy, putting consumers first
* Define agency engagement and relationships with Digital Influencers
* Link digital marketing metrics to overall brand metrics for evaluation of strategy versus execution
* Land and implement content strategy that is inspirational, enriching, insightful and entertaining for the consumer
* Budget planning and management
* Lead and manage a team and collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to deliver an actionable perspective on market opportunities; engage cross-functional partners to deliver support for and execution against the plans
* Strategic long-range and annual planning - create and execute multi-year planning strategies, including long-range, pre-season, in-season and post-season planning
* Engage cross-category partners to deliver support for and execution against the plans
* Partner with New Era's category directors and all other marketing functions to create and build effective working relationships that support the on-going development of new concepts, ensure alignment and support for all relevant marketing initiatives and ensure that New Era meets the requirements of its licensed agreements
* Participate in all relevant brand strategy, brand development and long-term planning meetings on behalf of the all category teams
* Close collaboration with Director of E-Commerce

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Digital native deeply rooted in social media and all other current/future digital marketing communications
* Substantial experience of emerging trends in digital and social media
* Experience developing social media strategies that include brand partnerships, original content, influencers, events and sponsorships, etc.
* Experience developing and executing upon content marketing and social media strategies that deliver on business objectives and experience overseeing paid and organic content development for social media platforms.
* Analyzing analytics with the ability to identify key learnings and insights
* Passion for the New Era brand and a strong working knowledge of all categories
* Candidate must be able to develop and drive opportunities within New Era's categories to establish  new opportunities for growth
* Integrated Marketing:  Candidate must have a strong-working knowledge and experience guiding multi-platform and multi-channel campaigns across all aspects of the marketing mix, with emphasis on Digital/Social, Media, PR, Sponsorships, Grassroots, Events and Retail.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field required; MBA preferred
* 7-10+ years of experience successfully leading digital brand marketing and brand development strategies for brands in sports, lifestyle & youth culture; including but not limited to: headwear, apparel, footwear, accessories, retail, gaming, music/entertainment and sports in North America and Globally.
* Must be able to demonstrate previous success in the following areas:
o Go To Market Leadership within a brand, agency or other mid-size company; demonstrated experience in successfully leading product, marketing, sales and retail teams in the development, planning and execution of product launches, marketing campaigns and initiatives.
o Integrated Marketing Leadership:  Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives across all Digital/Social, Media platforms
o Strategic Planning & Insights:  Demonstrated experience successfully leading the formal & informal development of consumer insights to drive marketing, product & business strategies in support of overall brand positioning goals and revenue objectives.
o Team Management and Development:  Demonstrated experience building strong teams and managing people; comfortable managing across a global network.
o Managing external resources (agencies, partnerships, sponsorships).
* Communicating & Influencing:  Strong cultural marketing and relationship-building skills.
* Annual marketing plan development and execution:  Demonstrated experience leading the development of an annual marketing plan, and corresponding budget, across multiple product launches, channels of distribution and multiple marketing functions of direct and indirect budget authority.

TRAVEL
* 25% travel depending on need
