What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable marketing manager for its Business Communications and ITS tower. The candidate will be working on strategic services within Verizon’s product portfolio and requires a strong candidate with product and marketing experience. This position will be responsible for the business performance and all aspects of a subset of Verizon’s global products. The ideal candidate will have strong product management/marketing experience. Experience in leading teams is strongly desired, and specific expertise in marketing large enterprise solutions is highly desired.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of market technologies, leading hardware/software platforms, buying trends, and cost / pricing trends.
  • Financial analysis skills for product profitability modeling, cost analysis, and pricing analysis.
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to gather the support of cross-functional organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to create sharp, appealing, and concise presentations, with the aptitude to present internally, as well as to customers

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

40%: Drive profitable revenue growth through the implementation of product marketing plans and creation of comprehensive tools and content to support the sales and services organizations' efforts to sell and implement Verizon services by:

  • Developing and leading segment, solution and product specific marketing plans in support of the go-to-market strategy.
  • Managing all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
  • Conducting market research and providing recommendations to determine market requirements for existing and future products; Prepare customer research, including current market conditions and competitor information
  • Implementing marketing plans and projects for new and existing services
  • Expanding and developing marketing platforms; assessing the success and productivity of marketing plans and projects
  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting out on all marketing activity and results and upcoming projects

15%: Helps drives product development efforts by providing input to and the prioritization of the Product Roadmap by:

  • Consulting with product development team on product specifications such as design, features, and cost structure.
  • Formulating and coordinating marketing activities to promote products and services, working with corporate advertising and internal promotion teams.
  • Negotiating contracts with vendors, agents and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.

15%: Drive channel effectiveness through the marketing, education and positioning related to product/solution offerings by:

  • Leading the development of customer-facing sales enablement collateral and tools.
  • Playing integral role in product releases through sales and customer awareness, training and positioning.
  • Developing and maintain positioning statements for Verizon products
  • Serving as Lead on implementation for product marketing programs and campaigns
  • Working closely with the communications team to develop strategy communications
  • Managing the marketing vehicles to include industry events, webinars, web & print advertising programs, online/eMarketing activities, etc
  • Evaluating the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Helping develop pricing strategy and implementing standard as well as custom pricing plans for the product offer

15%: Complete understanding of portfolio financial results with ability to analyze and develop appropriate plans and programs to drive growth and retention efforts for the business.

15%: Provide guidance and direction based upon sales successes as well as evolving market trends and dynamics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. 5-7 years’ experience in marketing, product marketing, and/or consulting within a high-tech environment
  2. Strong cross-functional leadership experience leading market segment strategy and execution.
  3. Able to work in a fast, results-driven environment.
  4. Strong ability to work collaboratively with product and sales teams.
  5. Able to communicate effectively with peers and leaders and provide recommendations and direct feedback.
  6. Persuasive written and verbal communicator.
  7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  8. Excellent time management, organizational and leadership skills.
