Additional Information Purpose

Assist with email marketing and advertising strategies that inform and engage Texas constituents and drive measureable results.

Essential Functions

As assigned, work collaboratively with constituents to develop and edit persuasive, engaging advertising and email copy. Create HTML and plain text versions of emails. Assist with building creative advertising and email campaigns that are consistent with branding and messaging of Texas Athletics. Work with Director to ensure messages are on brand. Work collaboratively with Director and Engagement Services team to determine sales message content and ensure alignment and collaboration with storytelling content. Effectively manage approval processes. Work on specs and deadlines as assigned. Submit video and graphics requests through online portal in a timely manner. Assist with email marketing calendar and scheduling of email messages. Assist with planning, design, testing, executing, tracking, reporting and optimizing of targeted email campaigns designed to improve engagement and produce results. Assist with measuring campaign performance and benchmarks. Provide input on marketing assets such as microsites and landing pages that will enhance the effectiveness of email campaigns. Manage list segmentation and personalization; Ensure the use and development of best practices and legal compliance; Stay up to date on current technologies and maintain a willingness to explore new platforms and processes.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree. Professional, positive problem-solver. 2-5 years experience in email marketing and marketing automation. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver (or similar software). Thorough understanding of HTML and CSS. Experience with CRM and marketing automation software, such as Adobe Campaign, PacMail or Convio. Understanding of email marketing including targeting, delivery implementation, best practices, metrics. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications

Experience overseeing other digital capabilities (e.g. social media, web platforms, SEO/SEM). Highly creative and strategic. Ability to self-start or work on a team. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Ability to adapt and willingness to learn new things. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Meticulous in work products. Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail and ability to multitask.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
