Job Description

Consumer Marketing is responsible for stewardship of the Allstate brand identity, brand marketing communications, product marketing, local marketing, and sponsorships.    This group takes a consumer centric approach to drive brand consideration, demand generation, profitable growth, and an improved customer experience.

 

Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading or coordinating all strategic planning, budget management, departing communication, and reporting activities for the Consumer Marketing organization.   This individual will report to the VP of Regional Marketing, and will operate as a resource for the Consumer Marketing leadership team.   This position will work closely with the Marketing Planning and Expense management team for the broader Marketing organization. Ultimately, this role will enable the most effective use of Consumer Marketing resources (strategy, budget, human resources) and will ensure appropriate strategic focus.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual marketing plan process for Consumer Marketing in partnership with MARA team
  • Monthly plan adjustments– facilitate monthly review and refinement of marketing plans and budgets to maximize results
  • Manage department/organizational communication plan in a “chief of staff” type role
  • Consumer Marketing budget management in partnership with expense mgmt. team – understand expense to plan/forecast; identify sources to fund new ideas or projects
  • Regional Marketing budget management, reconciliation, reporting, optimization in partnership with expense management team
  • Define and implement reporting processes – budget, program results, SOM reporting vs. plan
  • Manage Travel and Entertainment plans, Recognition, and FTE plans for Consumer Marketing

Job Qualifications

•    Minimum of 5-7 years of directly related experience in Marketing and/or Finance
•    Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
•    Proven ability to collaboratively across a broad network within the organization
•    Advanced analytic skills and the ability to translate analysis into actionable steps and drive results 
•    Advanced negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills 
•    Advanced project management skills 
•    Advanced verbal, written and presentation skills
•    Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft excel and PowerPoint
•    Bachelor’s degree required
