The Marketing & Catering Manager (MCM) will be responsible for the development, implementation and tracking of marketing activities for all restaurants within the terminal including: LSM initiatives, site specific marketing programs, product marketing, LTOs, product management and analysis. The MCM will also manage the promotion and execution of catered events. This position reports to the General Manager, with a dotted line to the corporate Marketing team.

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Participate in identifying, developing, and evaluating marketing strategy, based on knowledge of SSP objectives, and marketing trends and opportunities.
  • Oversee and implement all sales generating initiatives.
  • Develop promotional material for all T4 restaurants and assist Client and Operational teams advertising and marketing.
  • Manage the roll-out of Corporate national, regional and local marketing initiatives
  • Gather, track and analyze results of marketing initiatives
  • Participate in Marketing Champion program
  • Create airport annual restaurant marketing calendar
  • Assist in the opening of new store locations coordinating menu boards, hand held menus, shelf talkers and other signage as needed
  • Manage price sweeps for T4 restaurants, ensuring that incoming price changes and menu changes from units are correct and final before turning over to graphic designer
  • Flexible to support and assist with other business projects and needs.


Catering Responsibilities:

  • Understand and communicate meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual and any other pertinent details as they relate to each function room set-up.
  • Conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and pertinent departments
  • Prepare all contracts, BEOS, event menus, signage and payment details
  • Initiate billing procedures, ensuring any deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within the contracted acceptable time frame.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related degree preferred. Experience could be substituted for education.
  • 3+ years' experience in marketing and catering in corporate dining, hotels, restaurants or other hospitality environments highly desired
  • Experience with promoting and organizing catering events
  • Experience with restaurant, hospitality and/or foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling food and/or beverage products or services.
  • Experience in marketing strategy, tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Proficient with MS products, social media sites, POS, inventory systems, Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
