We are currently seeking a Vice President of Sales for Digital Sales team. This position is part of our North American Sales Operation and reports directly to the SVP of North American Sales. The primary objectives for this position is to acquire net new logos and upsell existing non-named customers leading with Axway's Amplify Platform. The right candidate will be capable of working with their team to establish direct selling relationships, help build a strategic partner ecosystem, institute strategic territory and account planning and work effectively with corporate and field marketing to build pipeline and develop new opportunity.

The position requires a passion and insight to help lead customers and prospects on their digital transformation journey. A proven track record of building and developing high performance sales teams is a must.

Position can work remotely from any major metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

Duties / Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of account executives to build pipeline, progress pipeline and close business meeting/exceeding quarterly, half year and full year sales plans.
  2. Works with, and cultivate, channel partners as a core sales route to market.
  3. Build and mentor a world class sales team capable of selling solutions with quantifiable business outcomes to senior executives in the lines of business and information technology.
  4. Demonstrate consistent command and control of the business ensuring the Sales CRM accurately represents Pipeline, Forecast, Strategic Accounts and Opportunity Win Plans.
  5. Provides leadership and direction for Digital Sales Team leveraging background, sales leadership skills and understanding of customer requirements and market opportunity.
  6. Works with existing customers to further develop their business communities and provide new prospect introductions.
  7. Works closely with corporate and field marketing to build and progress pipeline.

Qualifications

Skills / Qualifications:

  1. Strong leadership and team building skills with a proven track record in the digital market place.
  2. Ability to build a high-performance sales team: passion, integrity, customer and solution centric.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. Proven track record of hiring and enabling exceptional sales talent.
  5. Ability to gain access and sell to business leaders, CIO's, CISO'S and C-level executives.
  6. Comfortable in leading and guiding technical activities to progress sales opportunities such as: meetings, demo's RFI/RFP, Proof of Concepts, Statements of Work, etc.
  7. Experience selling API Management, Mobile Application Development, Mobile Backend as A Services in multiple and hybrid deployment (on premise, Cloud, Private Cloud).
  8. Experience in building, cultivating and selling through partner channels.

Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5+ years of sales management in the Digital Market Place.
  3. Experience at CA Layer7, Akana, Apigee , IBM DataPower, MuleSoft,
  4. 50-75% Travel required.
