Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Ecommerce Merchandising Manager establishes merchandising strategy and product assortments to meet the broader seasonal Brand Initiatives while meeting or exceeding sales targets and goals for the New Era Cap Ecommerce Site.  This position will collaborate with Merchandising, Categories, brick and mortar Retail, and Marketing to drive an omnichannel experience for our consumer. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Drive seasonal strategy for (please use the apply button below) and create best channel relevant assortments specific to our consumer that drive top line sales and profitability to achieve targets.
* Collaborate with the brick and mortar Retail Merchandising team to brief and adopt relevant custom/exclusive assortments for the site. 
* Work directly with Marketing in order to map out seasonal programs, brand initiatives, hot market opportunities, collaborations, and custom/exclusive product assortments on the site as well as how they are featured.
* Deep dive into team selling sales to ensure best teams are represented across assortments and league seasonality.
* Work with Planning to identify promotional and markdown opportunities at the category and style level to maximize sales and inventory levels while maintaining overall margin goals.
* Analyze seasonal assortments of products, use the data to create strategy for future seasons, and recommend courses of action with cross functional teams.
* Responsible for weekly product decisions that react to consumer buying trends in our channels including chasing product, promotional opportunities and markdown recommendations to maximize sales while maintaining margin goals.
* Consistently innovate within the department to drive clearer, more efficient results in all areas.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Deep understanding of market and consumer and is capable of transforming those insights into action.
* Leads collaboration with cross functional teams including Planning, Marketing, Merchandising, Category Teams and the brick and mortar Retail Team.
* Exhibits attention to detail and accuracy, as well as very strong organizational skills.
* Excellent analytical skills and thorough understanding of retail math concepts and applications.
* Pro-actively manages change with urgency and persistence.
* Microsoft Office Suite proficient.  Experience in Retail PLM systems a plus.
* Demonstrates leadership ability through clear communication.
* Strong presentation skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Merchandising Planning, Business or related field required.
* Minimum of 5-7 years Ecommerce Merchandising or Buying experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Knowledge of sportswear and/or apparel industry a must. 

TRAVEL
* 30%+ national travel
